ABOUT THE TECHNOLOGY
Contour TRL is a full-field skin resurfacing laser that can be customized according to the patient’s skin type and needs. When compared to other similar laser platforms, the Contour TRL delivers better outcomes by allowing Dr. Yonick to avoid undesired side effects. This also decreases the downtime and recovery associated with most deep laser peels.
DURING THE TREATMENT
On the day of your scheduled treatment, you will be taken back to one of our laser treatment rooms where a before picture will be taken. Next, your skin will be cleaned and prepped and the predetermined anesthesia will be administered. When you are comfortable and ready to begin, one or our providers will select the desired depth and energy level before the handpiece is passed over the treatment area. Our providers will meticulously and precisely target the technology to focus on the treatment area. Your procedure could last up to an hour, depending on the size and condition of your skin.
CONTOUR DEEP PEEL RESULTS
You should prepare for redness and swelling immediately after the treatment. However, this will subside in the days following the treatment and you will begin to notice dramatic improvements to the tone and texture of your skin. Since collagen is stimulated during the procedure, your results will continue to improve for around 4 – 6 months. Two weeks following your Contour TRL procedure, you can return to your standard skin care and makeup regimen as long as your skin is healed well enough to tolerate it. Though your skin may itch as it heals, it is very important not to scratch or pick at your treatment area during your recovery as this could cause unsightly side effects, such as redness, infection, and scarring.
